Fans rush the field as Virginia Cavaliers upset Florida State 46-38 at Scott Stadium on a night where the school honored UVA's upset against the 'Noles win back in 1995! The UVA offense smashed expectations in the ACC shootout while the defense made some key stops. Read below for a game thread in reverse chronological order.

Final: Virginia 46, FSU 38

Holy upset! Virginia seals the win with an interception in OT. A crazy ending as FSU misses out on a score on a pass where wide receiver Duce Robinson tipped the ball up to himself multiple times and comes down with possession out of bounds behind the end zone.

Overtime Two Drive One: Virginia 46, FSU 38

It just keeps getting better for Chandler Morris. The Hoo's quarterback rushes for his third touchdown of the night and his fifth score total. The two-point conversion is good on a dime to the corner in the hands Trell Harris.

Overtime One: Virginia 38, FSU 38

Virginia is not able to get into the end zone and ties it with a stressful 39-yard field goal.

End Of Regulation: Virginia 35, FSU 35

Head Coach Tony Elliott and Chandler Morris taking an aggressive approach to this final drive. That mindset leads to Morris getting picked off after forcing a deep ball to get into field goal range. FSU knees it out to OT.

Castellanos throws a beautiful possession ball to Randy Pittman Jr. in the end zone on a crucial fourth down. The pass capped off another drive absolutely taken over by the dual-threat quarterback. The Virginia pass rush was really making things rough for Castellanos in the red zone up until that point.

Virginia gets stopped very quickly in their own half. A short punt only goes 38 yards to around the FSU 30 yard line.

An incredible stop on fourth down from the Virginia defense. UVA is a few minutes from another historic upset against FSU at home. Castellanos is doing everything to keep this a nail-biter. The signal caller is finding holes to blast through on the ground and throwing strikes to receivers but the Seminoles comes up short with three time outs and the two-minute break left.

Chandler Morris cannot be stopped. The senior tosses another score. Running back Xavier Brown reels in the short pass down the sideline to pay dirt. The Virginia offense continues to move the ball efficiently on Florida State. UVA converted on two massive fourth downs to keep the drive moving into the FSU red zone. Virginia started off the 75-yard drive with a trick play of their own on a screen double-pass but it ended in an incompletion down the field.

A direct snap jump-pass from wide receiver Randy Pittman Jr to leads to a score from Duce Robinson. Castellanos leads the offense through the air and on the ground down the field.

Morris runs it in for another score and after it looked like he may have injured his throwing hand. Virginia elected to run on every single play for the rest of the drive after the injury scare. A healthy dose of J'Mari Taylor, Xavier Brown, Harrison Waylee and eventually Morris. The rushing attack still looks great against a top-of-the-line defense.

The Hoo's defense's tough stand pays off and leads to a missed field goal. Castellanos was controlling the Seminoles' offense but the drive stalls just outside the Virginia red zone.

Virginia running back J'Mari Taylor pops out of a scrum and scores a 26-yard touchdown. The score was set up by a 28-yard reception by last week's standout Trell Harris. Morris also had an extremely clean drive through the air.


Castellanos is responsible for another touchdown in the first half: a rushing score. 'Noles wide receiver Duce Robinson reels in another big pass, this time for 25 yards to get within the UVA 10 yard line - but an Antonio Clary targeting call moves the ball closer to set up the score.

Virginia offense might have met their match. Morris tosses an another interception. FSU defensive back Elijah Herring makes a nice play on a lob ball.

A solid run game moves the 'Noles already starting on the Hoo's side of the field. Castellanos gets a passing touchdown on the board to receiver Randy Pittman Jr. with no much of a fight put by the Cavaliers' defense.

Florida State storms down the field until Virginia defensive end Ja'son Prevard bats a Castellanos pass into the air and intercepts it in the red zone. This comes after Florida State catches a break after what seemed to be a fumble by wide receiver Micahi Danzy was overturned. Officials had to go to the booth and overturned the fumble call.
