Trey Murphy III Drains Nine Threes, Scores Career-High 41 Points

No one had a better Sunday night in the NBA that Trey Murphy III, who erupted for a career-high 41 points to lead the New Orleans Pelicans to a 127-110 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. Murphy knocked down nine three-pointers and was 13/20 from the floor, becoming just the second Pelican in franchise history to score more than 40 points on 20 or fewer shot attempts.
Murphy added seven rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block and was a staggering +44 in his 30 minutes on the floor.

Following the game, Murphy was all jokes in the press conference, saying he knew when he woke up on Sunday that he would have a performance like this.
