Today's Game...

- Virginia Tech clearly attacked Georgia's tech's weakness on defense by executing a brilliant run-first game-plan. Of the 28 first downs the Hokies picked up in the game, 10 came on the ground. 

- VT closed out the contest with 238 rushing yards, four rushing touchdowns and 5.3 yard-average with rushing plays against the Yellow Jackets. Georgia Tech was held to just 53 rushing yards on the day

Fuente's Hokies' offense netted 461 total yards while Bud Foster's defense was even more impressive, limiting Georgia Tech to 134 yards of offense and no scores.

- 45 points is the most Virginia Tech has ever scored in the series at Georgia Tech.

- Virginia Tech has won four consecutive ACC games in the same season for the first time since winning seven straight en route to an ACC Coastal Championship in 2011.

- Virginia Tech has scored in 318-straight games, the third-longest active streak in the nation among FBS schools. It’s also the sixth-longest streak in FBS history

- Georgia Tech hadn’t been shut out since 10/18/97 when they lost 38-0 at FSU. Their scoring streak was at 282 straight games

Head Coach Justin Fuente.... 

- Improves to 21-0 at Virginia Tech when holding opponents to 20 or less points.

- Has now defeated every team in the Coastal Division at least once (was 0-3 vs. Georgia Tech).

- Has taken his team to a bowl in six straight seasons.

QB Hendon Hooker 

- Improved to 5-0 as the starting QB.

- Had one interception in the game, his third straight game with an INT. Was also in on three stops (two solo)
