Gallery: 10 Husky Heroes from the Boise State Victory

In this story:
Up and down the University of Washington football roster, talent just jumps out at you. All-America candidates, All-Pac-12 players, pro prospects, a Heisman Trophy contender, they're all there.
By now, Skylar Lin, an earnest UW architectural student and a prolific photographer for Inside the Huskies @ SI.com, knows all of these high-profile guys and they know him.
Last weekend at Husky Stadium, Lin was everywhere with his camera as the UW handed out 56-19 punishment to Boise State, with our lens man at times seemingly in the middle of the huddle and in the end zone with them.
In the accompanying 10-image gallery, Lin was right there clicking away when veteran linebacker Carson Bruener was practically in Taylen Green's face and made an overly alert play to come up with a fourth-quarter interception that he returned 33 yards.
Bruener's pick was the second of his UW career, reminiscent of his Husky Stadium 50-yard runback against Oregon in 2021.
The veteran Husky linebacker showed off his athleticism by intercepting this Taylen Green pass in close quarters and returning it 33 yards.
The Huskies' huge defensive tackle was double-teamed much of the game, but was able to apply serious pressure on Boise State's Taylen Green in the end zone.
Typical Polk, he caught just 3 passes but they went for 101 yards, including this one for a 50-yard gainer in the third quarter.
The Husky wide receiver not only caught two TD passes and ran for a third, he launched this 9-yard pass to tight end Jack Westover.
The Husky edge rusher didn't have any sacks against Boise State, but he still made his presence felt, shown here bringing down running back George Holani.
The Husky back-up safety took the air after he came up with his first career interception in the second quarter of the Huskies' 56-19 victory in the opener.
The reserve cornerback provided four alert pass break-ups against Boise State, the most by a UW defensive back in five seasons.
The Huskies linebacker strains to get at Boise State quarterback Taylen Green with what looks like a hold that wasn't called on this pass rush.
The Cal Poly tight end transfer made an auspicious UW debut by closing out the scoring with a 31-yard touchdown catch from Dylan Morris.
The Husky quarterback heads for the field prior to kickoff to get loose as a legion of young fans clamor for his attention once he emerged from the tunnel.
Lin also was nearby when he captured a scary scene for Boise State that of massive defensive tackle Ulumoo Ale bearing down hard on the Broncos' victimized Green and extending a violent paw much like a grizzly bear in a bad mood.
He captured Husky wide receiver Ja'Lynn Polk reaching for a pinpoint 50-yard touchdown pass from Michael Penix Jr. with a defensive back trailing him, taking the image with the ball just a blink of an eye from landing in Polk's hands.
While Boise State was badly fooled on this play, Lin caught wide receiver Jalen McMillan completing a 9-yard pass to tight end Jack Westover.
Elite Husky edge rusher Bralen Trice often was double-teamed and taking up space for others to get into the backfield, but Lin caught him with his eyes bulging as he crashed into Broncos running back George Holani and pulled him down.
In the second quarter, Lin found safety Kam Fabiculanan practically floating in air after picking up his first career interception.
Not to be outdone, cornerback Davon Banks is shown breaking up one of four passes as he hit for the cycle in secondary deflections.
Linebacker Edefuan Ulofoshio, starting for the first time in nearly two years after a series of injuries and surgeries, fights his way through people trying to hold him, and Lin gets the shot.
Josh Cuevas, a tight end transfer from Cal Poly, was photographed by Lin seated in the end zone scoring on a 31-yard touchdown pass in his Husky debut.
Of the multiple images Lin shot of Penix, the one that caught our eye was of kids reaching out to him as he walked out of the tunnel in deep thought to get the season started. Even with all of the distractions that come with his growing celebrity, the quarterback was focused enough to engineer seven of the eight touchdown drives.
Take a look at the attached Lin photo gallery and treat it as if it were a TV replay of the game.
