Husky linebacker Brandon Wellington has heard your chitter chatter. Your social media rants. Your unsolicited opinions.

“Wellington...He’s not the guy.” “He hasn’t started in the previous 3 years... why now?” “The Dawgs should be giving the young guys a chance to start now.”

The senior linebacker from Kent, WA has heard it all. And while he may not respond publicly to comments from the peanut gallery, he has used the doubters and the detractors as motivation early on in this 2019 college football season.

“The numbers don’t lie” says Wellington when speaking about his production at the inside linebacker position this season. “I feel like we go out there and execute every week.” He and his fellow senior inside linebacker Kyler Manu have been having solid outings for the Dawgs just three games into the season. They will have a big test this weekend in Provo as they take on the 2-1 BYU Cougars.
