Fisch Flips Another Quarterback Committed to Arizona to Huskies

In this story:
Kalen DeBoer likes his quarterbacks to stand a little taller in the pocket while Jedd Fisch clearly prefers a more mobile signal-caller.
So in recent days, the University of Washington football program effectively has traded 6-foot-6, 226-pound Austin Mack and 6-foot-5, 187-pound Demaricus Davis for 5-foot-11, 180-pound Demond Williams Jr. and 6-foot-1, 215-pound Ashton "Dash" Beierly.
That's not to say Fisch wouldn't have welcomed the talents of Mack, who is committed to Alabama and DeBoer once more after spending this past season in Montlake, and Davis, who just entered the transfer portal following the weekend after spending a couple weeks at the UW.
Yet the new Husky coach has flipped Williams and Beierly from their prior Arizona commitments, with the latter, a Southern California quarterback, revealing his plans on Tuesday morning on social media.
"In light of recent developments and the strength of the relationships I’ve built during the recruiting process, I have decided to de-commit from Arizona and will be committing to the University of Washington," Beierly posted.
Williams will sign with the UW in February and likely enroll early to take part in spring football, while Beierly still has to play his senior season for Chaparral High School in Temecula, California.
For both of these young QBs, Fisch has been the big draw in making their college decisions, bringing his NFL background and position expertise into play.
“I also really like coach Fisch a lot," Beierly told 247sports. "He’s a quarterback guru and having someone like him as my head coach to challenge and develop is huge.”

Beierly comes off a productive junior season in which he completed 143 of 230 passes for 1,966 yards and 17 touchdowns, and rushed for 554 yards and 12 scores.
As a freshman, he showed his maturity by coming off the junior varsity when Chaparral's starting quarterback Caron Tyler was lost to an injury and Beierly led the team to three consecutive victories, including one in which he threw 4 touchdown passes.
Beierly previously was recruited by Arizona, BYU, California, Miami, Minnesota, Oregon State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, San Diego State, Utah and the DeBoer-led Huskies before settling on Fisch's UW program.
