Fisch Needs One More Coach to Fill Out His Husky Staff

In this story:
Jedd Fisch is not quite done yet.
While his hiring of Steve Belichick as University of Washington defensive coordinator seemed to bring a sense of closure to the coaching turnover in Montlake, the new Husky coach still needs one more staffer.
An edge-rusher coach. Or possibly a down-lineman leader.
Three weeks on the job, Fisch has nine of his 10 assistant coaches in place but still has to settle on someone to fill a Husky role that, if it's an edge-rusher supervisor, recently has proven to be a career launching pad for whoever has held it.
The last three people to coach the UW edges have been Eric Schmidt, the newly hired San Diego State defensive coordinator; Ikaika Malloe, the newly promoted UCLA defensive coordinator; and Pete Kwiatkowski, who has served as the Texas defensive coordinator for the past three seasons.
Jason Kaufusi, a former Utah edge rusher, coached that position group at Arizona the past two seasons for Fisch, but he's listed as the defensive-line coach and run-game coordinator for the Huskies, which seems to suggest he'll be working with the interior guys.
Either way, Fisch has one more coach to put on the Husky payroll. He'll meet with the media on Wednesday and can clarify the situation.
He's hired all of his Husky assistants from his Arizona staff and the New England Patriots so far, but apparently he'll have to go elsewhere to find his last coaching piece.
