It didn't take long for Jaivion Green to choose his next school.

The former UW sophomore cornerback announced on Sunday night he will play for the Stanford Cardinal and coach Troy Taylor.

Green, a 6-foot-2, 207-pound defensive back from Houston, will have three years of eligibility remaining after appearing in 24 games over two seasons for the Huskies.

Mounting injuries in the UW secondary forced Green to play in nine games, more than any other freshman, in 2022 before seeing his role diminish this past season as the Huskies made a bid for their first national championship since 1991, with the title game in his hometown.

Green is the second UW transfer to formally announce his future destination, joining tight end Tre Watson, who joined the Huskies after transferring from Fresno State but spent just a week at the school before re-entering the portal.

Coming out of Lamar High School in Houston, Green was lightly recruited, receiving no other Power 5 offer aside from Washington.

In his 24 games in Seattle the former 3-star recruit collected 17 tackles and a pair of passes defensed in a reserve role.
