In this story:

USC once had an offensive line so massive and full of NFL-bound players, some quipster slapped the following promotional tag on it: "When these guys stand up, they can see Denver."

Well, the University of Washington football team, from its previous coaching staff to its current one, has been assembling a front line that could cast such a large shadow this group might require towering cranes to put everything in place.

When complete, it could be gigantic.

When Jedd Fisch took over as coach, one of the players he inherited was 6-foot-8, 295-pound Soane Faasolo, a redshirt freshman offensive tackle from East Palo Alto, California, who's still looking to add another 15-25 pounds.

"We want to be the best of the best," Faasolo said of him and his fellow Husky linemen at the Sugar Bowl.

Fisch recently signed Justin "Moose" Hylkema, a 6-foot-8, 315-pound prospect from Santa Clara, California, who flipped from Arizona and will report to Montlake in June.

Looking to the future, Fisch just picked up a 2025 commitment from Jake Flores, a 6-foot-6, 280-pound from San Juan Capistrano, California, who initially was recruited by Kalen DeBoer's UW staff, and is so young Flores could add another inch or so and a lot more weight by the time he ends up in Montlake.

Had 6-foot-9, 313-pound senior offensive guard Julius Buelow not transferred to Mississippi for his final season, the Huskies could have sent "Juice" and "Moose" onto the field this fall.

Instead, they'll have to wait for a future Husky offensive line composed of a more filled-out player named Soane, which is pronounced "Swanee," who could be lined up side by side with Hylema, the guy with the antlers sticking out of his helmet, and eventually Big Jake, a nationally recruited player who's added 55 pounds to his frame over the past two years.

When everyone's a finished football product up front for the UW, these guys together should be able to stand up and see maybe Salt Lake City, for sure Boise.
