Hunter Bryant: Purple Haze?

It's bye week so we get a little levity here. A chance to try something different. Reach a little.
Hunter Bryant, a player with sufficient Washington football skills, comes across in conversation as humble, introspective and thoughtful. Distinctively different in style.
I'd seen and heard this person before.
I couldn't place it at first, but then I went back and watched this clip on the Dick Cavett Show.
One guy plays for a football team that hears the strains of Purple Haze. Another guy wrote it.
Compare the video clips of these two. Even if you don't see the connection, we can agree that talented people do seem to have a certain aura.
