Huskies' Bralen Trice Adds Lott Watch List to Personal Accolades

In this story:
One by one, draftable University of Washington football players announced they would return another season to have it all.
Championships. National awards. Winning.
Edge rusher Bralen Trice is the Husky most likely to draw coast-to-coast attention on defense and that became more apparent with the Lott Impact Trophy this week naming him as one of 42 players on its watch list — a reward presented to the nation's top defensive performer.
The 6-foot-4, 267-pound Trice from Phoenix comes off a sterling sophomore season in which he finished third in the Pac-12 in sacks with 9 and piled up 38 tackles, including 12 for loss.
He was named Alamo Bowl defensive MVP, first-team All-Pac-12 and to assorted All-America teams as high as the second unit.
On the UW roster, only linebacker Edefuan Ulofoshio has been included on the Lott watch list, earning that recognition in 2021 before missing half the season with an arm injury.

Trice is one of eight Pac-12 players on the current watch list, joined by former Husky edge rusher Laiatu Latu, now of UCLA; Utah linebacker Karene Reid, Colorado defensive back Travis Hunter, USC linebacker Mason Cobb, USC defensive back Calen Bullock, Oregon edge rusher Jordan Burch and Arizona linebacker Justin Flowe, who formerly played for the Ducks.
The Lott trophy went to Alabama linebacker Will Anderson Jr. last season, making him its 19th recipient. Other winners who have become NFL stalwarts are Wisconsin edge rusher J.J. Watt in 2010 and Boston College linebacker Luke Kuehly in 2011.
Just three Pac-12 players have earned this bauble in California cornerback Daymeion Hughes in 2006 and UCLA linebackers Anthony Barr in 2013 and Eric Kendricks in 2014.
The Pacific Club in Newport Beach, California, awards the Lott trophy each year.
