Huskies Lose Another New Signee in Noah Carter, Class Drops from 19 to 14

In this story:
Not quite a month ago, Karlen DeBoer was breaking down his newly signed 2024 University of Washington football recruits when he sized up Noah Carter.
He told how the 6-foot-3, 225-pound edge rusher from Arizona was an elite athlete, someone who had returned punts for touchdowns and caught fade passes for scores, as well.
Carter from Centennial High School in Peoria had been named his state's defensive player of the year, and DeBoer talked about how he was eager to see him grow into a college football player.
So much for that vision. DeBoer is now at Alabama, and because of that, Carter has de-committed from the Huskies, calling his recruitment 100 percent open.

The On3.com recruiting site had Carter ranked as a four-star prospect and the 211th overall player in the country, while 247sports touted him as a 3-star player.
Carter is the second member of the UW's 2024 class to walk away, joining 6-foot-4, 255-pound defensive tackle Dominic Kirks from Riverside High School in Painesville, Ohio, who never signed and de-committed on Friday.
Counting portal releases involving Mississippi State quarterback Will Rogers, Fresno State tight end Tre Watson and Vanderbilt lienbacker Ethan Barr, the Huskies' class of 19 signed players is down to 14.
