Treat this as a catwalk, with Kaila Olin of Husky Maven/Sports Illustrated seated alongside it, offering a clinical and critical fashion eye. Her report:

The new Washington Husky football jerseys are clean and tasteful with a slight edge. The all-black jerseys with white numerals and purple outline are subtle while it still brings in that pop of purple. The purple “W” outlined in white in the middle, the purple Pac-12 logo and white Adidas logos, all up top, create a nice balance. The shoulder pads with the player number is a cool idea.

The gloves are one of the most innovative parts of this new uniform. They give off a sense of being at the games and, when the Husky eyes from the palms appear on the big screen during a third down, you can practically hear the barking.

The purple eyes of the Husky is simply much more creative than just the team logo in the middle of these gloves. Peep the purple and white “Dawgs” on the front of the black matte helmets with the purple “W” logo and white outline. A++.

White shoes to pair with this “blackout” uniform combo are unique. They have grey mixed with white to give off a frost effect, something that the UW has been including in marketing strategies and photos – it's icy. Again, the pop of purple on the sides is a great addition. A silver chrome-looking emblem on the back of the heel with the Washington “W” and a mini “go Dawgs” on the side makes it look so rich.

Side note: notice the tops of the gloves are white, while the image above is black for the palms and fingers.

The under armor ties the uniform all together, the under armor. The gradient-like effect going from all white at the sleeves and transitioning up to pure black at the shoulders is something that hasn't been done on a Husky uniform before. They threw on the purple Adidas logo and "Italian chef's kiss."

Side note: you can better see the white outline of numbers on the shoulder pads with no fill color.

While the pants are plain and a simple black, the leggings on the bottom, that mimic the under armor worn under the jersey, also tie everything together.
