When Armon and Jayvon Parker received their offers to Washington, they were flying pretty far under the radar. Both brothers held very small offer lists, with Armon's best offer being from the University of Illinois, while Jayvon had been offered a preferred walk-on spot at Michigan State.

Enter director of player personnel Courtney Morgan, who previously held the same title at the University of Michigan. Morgan, who certainly got a good look at the products of Dearborn High School in Detroit, Michigan, offered both brothers a scholarship. They then announced their commitments not long after taking an official visit to Seattle.

Although Armon didn't get a chance to play for the Huskies in 2022, Jayvon burned his redshirt, appearing in eight games. He also recorded his first career sack in the Apple Cup against Washington State.

Armon redshirted during the 2022 season due to an ACL injury, but it sounds like the 6-foot-3, 314-pound defensive lineman is nearing a return. It appears that he should be a full go for spring practice, and he's receiving high praise from the coaching staff.

"I feel very strongly he could be a premier defensive tackle. There's no doubt about it," co-defensive coordinator Chuck Morrell said of Armon before the Alamo Bowl.

Due to injuries, Jayvon was asked to play more than anyone expected during his first year on campus. Not only did he play in two-thirds of Washington's games, but he also played very well at a position where the adjustment to the physicality of the college level is not easy.

Going forward, the Parkers are going to have a much bigger role on the interior of the Husky defensive line. While there are still a plethora of talented players in front of the twins, a deep defensive line is crucial to a successful defense.

Armon and Jayvon are primed to show off as two of the most improved players during spring practice, and will be a big part of the Washington defense for years to come.
