Podcast: Washington To Join Big Ten

The Locked On Huskies podcast is finally here! Listen in as Roman Tomashoff and Lars Hanson discuss what conference realignment means for the Huskies moving forward.

Washington and Oregon officially announced they'll be joining the Big Ten in 2024, following USC and UCLA who decided to leave the Pac-12 in June 2022. The hosts break down the reported Apple TV deal that the Pac-12 had on the table before the move was officially announced and whether or not the two schools made the right decision.

Following that, Washington State alumnus Lars discusses the future of the Apple Cup and the logistics of making sure it can continue. Should it move to Lumen Field, or continue as a home and home? And should the game still be played after Thanksgiving, or should it be moved to the beginning of the season?

Finally, the pair discusses what it's going to take for Washington to compete on a regular basis in the Big Ten. The school no longer has to go up against just Oregon and USC on a yearly basis, but Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State as well.
