PODCAST: Previewing Washington's Wide Receivers in 2023

In this story:
Preseason Heisman Trophy candidate Michael Penix Jr. is coming off a 2022 season in which he led the nation in passing yards per game. Not only are the Huskies bringing back two 1,000-yard receivers in Rome Odunze and Jalen McMillan, but the roster is flush with talented pass-catchers.
Ja'Lynn Polk pulled in 41 catches for 694 yards and six touchdowns in his second campaign with Washington after transferring from Texas Tech and former Michigan transfer Giles Jackson compiled 376 receiving yards and a touchdown in 2022. The Huskies lost Taj Davis to the transfer portal and the coaching staff believes the receiving corps won't skip a beat.

I've followed the Huskies for my entire life, and to be in a position where I get to cover them full-time is nothing short of an honor. After graduating from Lasell University in 2019, I moved to Seattle to pursue my dream of working in sports media. While writing for the Husky Haul, I also covered local sports for the Everett Daily Herald before the COVID-19 pandemic. After being hired by Realdawg.com in February of 2021, I also transitioned into doing a lot of entertainment writing, as I work on a variety of magazines as a contributing writer for Centennial Media, and have also contributed to Emmy Magazine, as well as Walt Disney Television Studios.
