With spring practice ready to resume on Wednesday after a near three-week break, four players will join the University of Washington football team for the remaining 12 workouts.

They include running back Dillon Johnson, a Mississippi State transfer; cornerback Caleb Presley, a freshman from Seattle enrolling early; center Landen Hatchett, a freshman from Ferndale who attended the first three practices but wasn't in school and couldn't participate; and defensive tackle Elinneus Davis, a freshman checking in early from Minnesota.

Johnson will wear No. 7, inheriting a jersey that previously belonged to quarterback Sam Huard, who transferred to Cal Poly this past winter. Johnson wore No. 23 last season for his SEC team.

Presley, considered the state's top 2023 recruit, chose No. 2, which was worn by departed linebacker Cam Bright last season and NFL-bound cornerback Kyler Gordon the year before.

Hatchett has chosen No. 66, which belonged to offensive guard Henry Bainivalu for the previous six seasons.

Davis takes on No. 90, previously worn by junior edge rusher/defensive tackle Voi Tunuufi, who gave up a shirt made famous by Steve Emtman in favor of No. 52 for the beginning of spring practice.

Also, incoming walk-on quarterback Alex Johnson from Santa Barbara City College and Seattle will answer to No. 19 while walk-on punter Adam Saul from El Camino College in California will wear No. 43.
