After hosting an all-encompassing mailbag on Twitter on Thursday, I got some really fun questions about the Huskies with just a few weeks remaining before practice kicks off. One of my favorites asked me about who I'm the most excited to watch at fall camp.

However, I wnat to bend the question for a more engaging discussion. Instead of giving one name, I offer three: Dillon Johnson, Curley Reed, and Armon Parker. Why these three? Keep scrolling.

Dillon Johnson

I gave the stipulation that I wanted to see the running back with a full workload. The media only got to see two practices from the Mississippi State transfer before he was essentially shut down for the spring as he continued to rehab and recover from a knee injury he suffered while still in Starkville.

When he was on the field, he looked like a different caliber athlete at the position. He displayed great power, good speed and a mean stiff arm. With a full workload, Johnson could put together 1,000 total yards from scrimmage in 2023.

Curley Reed

The four-star freshman from Louisiana is a prototypical cornerback. Measuring in at 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds, he has great length, is extremely aggressive at the line of scrimmage, and has impressive ball skills. While he probably won't play much, if at all, in 2023, he has all the tools of a future all-conference cornerback.

Armon Parker

While the media did get a chance to watch the second Parker twin during the spring, a full camp unencumbered by rehabbing the knee injury he suffered early in 2022 is an enticing sight. With he and his brother Jayvon, Armon was the more-heralded of the three-star defensive tackles from Fordham, Michigan.

Armon is an extremely talented pass rusher and after his brother was one of the most exciting freshmen on the team to watch during the 2022 season, the Huskies have high hopes for the twins up front.

I've followed the Huskies for my entire life, and to be in a position where I get to cover them full-time is nothing short of an honor. After graduating from Lasell University in 2019, I moved to Seattle to pursue my dream of working in sports media. While writing for the Husky Haul, I also covered local sports for the Everett Daily Herald before the COVID-19 pandemic. After being hired by Realdawg.com in February of 2021, I also transitioned into doing a lot of entertainment writing, as I work on a variety of magazines as a contributing writer for Centennial Media, and have also contributed to Emmy Magazine, as well as Walt Disney Television Studios.
