Trey Adams is BACK!

2018 was a tough year for Trey Adams.
Entering his senior year as a preseason All-American, and a top NFL draft prospect, the 6’8 offensive tackle was set to lead the Washington Huskies to another Pac 12 championship and another shot at the college football playoffs. He was just a RS- Freshman the last time that the Huskies reached that plateau and faced a juggernaut of an opponent in the Peach Bowl vs Alabama. But his plans would be derailed before the season began - An unfortunate back injury would lead to a season ending surgery that would question the immediate future of the Husky offense and the hulking left tackle as well.
Nearly 12 months later, after rehabilitating from his surgery and making the decision to return to the University of Washington for a 5th year, Adams is ready to pick up right where he left off. “This is the best that I’ve felt since I got hurt.” says Trey. “There’s nothing like getting knocked down and being able to work back...It’s been fun so far.”
The last “First”
Getting prepared for his 5th and final season has been different for Adams. Mentally. According to Trey, there have been a number of “lasts” that he has had to wrap his head around. But he is ready, and anxious to get after an opponent that isn’t wearing purple and gold.
As the Huskies prepare to face Eastern Washington in their 2019 home opener, Dawg fans will definitely be excited to see number 72 back in action.
Number 72 will be even more excited.
