UW Offers Texas CB Who Keeps Family Name Front and Center

In this story:
Zay Gentry is the youngest of three football-minded brothers from Texas, two of whom answer to the same first and last names, and this one could be the best sibling yet.
He's a long and slender 6-foot-1, 165-pound cornerback from 6A McKinney High School in McKinney, which offers big-time schoolboy football in the northeast corner of the Dallas Metroplex.
Coming off a productive sophomore season, Gentry suddenly is fielding scholarship offers right and left, the latest coming on Monday from Kalen DeBoer's University of Washington recruiters, putting him at 14.
His other suitors include Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Duke Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Purdue, TCU and Texas Tech.

He's one of two Zay Gentrys in his family, with the other currently a 6-foot, 190-pound junior cornerback at FCS Eastern Illinois in the Ohio Valley Conference.
The high schooler's given name is Zadian; his brother is Zachareus.
Both Zay for short.
Their older brother answers to J.T. Luper, who was an All-America wide receiver in 2017 for Division II Central Oklahoma after catching 110 passes for 1,593 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior, earning him an NFL shot.
Unlike his brothers, this youngest Gentry is a bona fide Power 5 prospect for the Class of 2025, coming off a 42-tackle, 10-pass break-up and one-interception performance last fall.
The Huskies continue to recruit Texas hard, offering scholarships to at least 11 players from the Lone Star state since playing in the Alamo Bowl against the Texas Longhorns in San Antonio on Dec. 30.
