Class of 2022: An Offensive Linemen Wish List for Washington

The University of Washington football team returns all five offensive-line starters next season. All will be draft-eligible when it ends.
Behind them are plenty of able bodies as the Huskies have recruited well over the last four cycles.
The graduated Trey Adams (Yakima), Kaleb McGary (Fife) and Jake Eldrenkamp (Belleuve) were local guys who were multi-year starters for the Huskies. McGary was a first-round draft pick and Adams, had he remained healthy, likely would have been a first-rounder as well.
Add Californians Nick Harris and Shelton Coleman to that list, and the UW has showed it can furnish plenty of offensive-line talent to the NFL.
While the 2021 recruiting class was small, signing only offensive tackle Robert Wyrsch and offensive guard Owen Prentice, it leaves room for signing another full compliment of offensive linemen.
The 2022 class is heavy on big and mobile prospects. Here's a look at six Washington targets from the trenches.
Offensive Tackle
The Huskies need not look outside the Seattle area for tackle talent.
- Josh Conerly, 6-foot-5, 270 pounds. Rainier Beach High School, Seattle. Conerly is a new breed of left tackle who can handle the top-line pass rushers. When Sports Illustrated All-American releases its initial list of 2022 All-American candidates, his name will be near the top.
- Malik Agbo 6-6, 312 pounds. Todd Beamer High School, Federal Way, Washington. An offer from the Huskies was well received by Agbo. However, Washington will be in a fight for the talented tackle as the end of the dead-period showed. Agbo most likely will be a top 10 talent at the tackle position.
Offensive Guard
Like the tackle position, numerous talented guards emerge in the region, which is why three of the UW's four offers so far are to local linemen. Given the physical requirements of the position, one of three guards the Huskies expect to sign will eventually slide into the center position.
- Dave Iuli, 6-5, 315 pounds. Puyallup High School, Puyallup, Washington. Born in Samoa, Iuli says he's very close with Conerly and Agbo. He also has been in contact with former Husky Danny Shelton and loves the UW's family feel. Expect to see Iuli's name among the top 10 guards in the country when SIAA releases its list later this year.
- Earnest Greene, 6-5, 330 pounds. St. John Bosco, Bellflower, California. Hailing from the same school as Sean McGrew and Terrell Bynum, Greene likely will be an SI99 selection when the list comes out this summer. Greene has offers in excess of 20 from coast to coast. The Huskies have done well in the Los Angles area recently and will need to leverage ties to the school in the hopes of pulling in Greene.
Center
Of all the in-state offensive linemen, the two prospects below are most physically suited to converting to center at the next level.
- Mark Nabou, 6-4, 311 pounds, O'Dea High School, Seattle. Nabou plays just three and a half miles from Husky Stadium. As a center, he will be an SI All-American candidate. He is considered to be heavily leaning to the Huskies.
- Vega Ioane, 6-4, 280 pounds, Graham-Kapowsin High School, Graham, Washington. The school has produced some notable linemen recently. Ioane has been offered by three-fourths of the Pac-12, all but Utah, Stanford, Arizona and Oregon. He has a frame that could add another 20-30 pounds. Expect Washington to be in the mix for his signature to the end.
