Hampton Surpasses 200 Career Ks

In the elimination round of the 2023 Big 12 Championship, WVU southpaw Ben Hampton secured his place in program history.

At Globe Life Field in Arlington, Tx, WVU junior southpaw Ben Hampton earned his 200th career strikeout.

Hampton entered today's match-up with the Oklahoma State Cowboys at 199 strikeouts through 213.0 innings. The threshold-surpassing 200th strikeout came in his 40th career game, as Hampton sat Cowboy third baseman Tyler Wulfert down looking in the second inning.

Hampton ended his outing with 6 IP, two runs on three hits, and a duo of strikeouts through 81 pitches.
