Hussey Records Grand Slam in Cape Cod League

WVU 1B Grant Hussey smoked a ball last night to help the Wareham Gatemen to an 8-4 victory.

WVU Baseball first baseman Grant Hussey knocked in a grand slam during last night's game against the Cape Cod League's Chatham Anglers.

Hussey's hit soared 366 feet and put Wareham up 5-1 after the first inning; it became a lead that the Anglers, the summer ball team of WVU teammates JJ Wetherholt, Logan Sauve, and Maxx Yehl, couldn't recover from. Hussey's final stats for the night became six RBI on a trio of hits.

Of note, Hussey's first inning grand slam was delivered by Texas Longhorns pitcher Tanner Witt, the starting Anglers' arm.
