The West Virginia Mountaineers are coming off a gritty 5-3 gritty win in the series finale against Texas Tech on Sunday. The win marked the seventh Big 12 Conference series win for the Mountaineers this season, tying a program record. Additionally, WVU notched the season series sweep of the Backyard Brawl over the Pitt Panthers with a 9-8 decision Wednesday night.

The Mountaineers' 3-1 record last week moved them into the top 10 of the D1baseball.com 25 at No. 6, marking another program milestone.
