West Virginia remains a two-seed following the loss to Oklahoma State

In the latest Field of 64 Projections by D1baseball.com, The West Virginia University baseball program is projected as a two-seed in the Charlottesville region and would meet Iowa in the opening round while host team Virginia would square off against Penn.

West Virginia was in the top 10 in all the national rankings and was projected as a super seed and a host in the NCAA tournament by D1baseball.com heading into the final week of the season. However, the Mountaineers were swept in the final series at Texas and were eliminated in the Big 12 Championship after Mountaineers dropped their second consecutive game in the tournament to Oklahoma State to extend the losing streak to five.
