Opinions on new West Virginia head coach Darian DeVries are flooding all social media channels, but few hold the weight to that of Hall of Famer Jay Wright. During a roundtable discussion of the NCAA Tournament on CBS Sports, the news of DeVries' hire came across the screen and the folks on set gave the new head Mountaineer the spotlight for a few minutes.

Wright is a big believer in DeVries, essentially calling it a home run for athletic director Wren Baker.

"Great hire. He's a great X and O guy. He's a great program builder. He's good without his son. If he comes without his son, he's going to be great for West Virginia. He's the kind of guy I could see staying there for a long time. If he brings his son with him, Tucker DeVries is one of those guys that was playing a level below where he could have which is fine, he took their team to the NCAA Tournament. But he can play in the Big 12 and he's a good enough player to be there."

It has been reported by Jeff Goodman from The Field of 68 that Tucker is expected to transfer to West Virginia for his final year of eligibility. He's the reigning two-time Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year and has led Drake in scoring in each of his three seasons.
