REPORT: Huggins Ready to Sue WVU

Saturday night, Hoppy Kercheval of Metro News reported former West Virginia University men's basketball head coach Bob Huggins sent a letter to the university and is demanding to be reinstated back into his position or he will sue, claiming he never resigned.

Huggins was arrested in Pittsburgh in mid-Jue for a DUI, and within 48 hours, WVU released a statement stating he had turned in his resignation and the national search for a new head coach is underway.

Director of Athletics Wren Baker announced the hiring of Huggins assistant coach Josh Eilert at the interim head coach a week later.

In the letter sent to WVU, "Coach Huggins never signed a resignation letter and never communicated a resignation to anyone at WVU. Accordingly, the WVU public comments are not only false, but appear to be an after-the-fact attempt to remedy WVU’s breach of the Employment"
