Big 12 Score Predictions

Week 3 Picks: 8-5

Season Record: 28-13

Oklahoma at Cincinnati

This game is going to feel a lot closer than the final score indicates. The Bearcats have been anxiously awaiting this game and perhaps got caught looking ahead last week when they tripped up against Miami (OH). Oklahoma pulls away late.

Prediction: Oklahoma 41, Cincinnati 20.

SMU at TCU

The Battle for the Iron Skillet is one of my favorite rivalries in college football. Typically a close game that features a lot of scoring. This year, the Frogs win comfortably.

Prediction: TCU 34, SMU 17.

BYU at Kansas

I never thought I'd say that BYU and Kansas would be my Big 12 game of the week, but here we are. Kansas didn't look all that great last week against Nevada while BYU went on the road and took down Arkansas. Back and forth game, but the Cougs prevail.

Prediction: BYU 31, Kansas 27.

Texas Tech at West Virginia

Last week, West Virginia had the benefit of playing a tune-up game before playing their heated rival, who played a rivalry game the week before. This week, they're on the other end of it. They strained for four quarters against a rival while Tech played Tarleton State in a "get right" game. I like the Red Raiders here.

Prediction: Score prediction releases tomorrow.

Oklahoma State at Iowa State

Do I have to pick a winner? Goodness gracious. I don't think you could pay me to watch this rock fight. I guess I'll go with Iowa State.

Prediction: Iowa State 13, Oklahoma State 10.

Sam Houston at Houston

The Bearkats have played well defensively, holding BYU and Air Force to a combined 27 points. The problem is the offense, which has only managed to score three points in two games. They'll score three again, but that won't be enough (said with sarcasm).

Prediction: Houston 27, Sam Houston 3.

Texas at Baylor

Texas kind of sleptwalked through the first half of their win against Wyoming, which was to be expected after stunning Alabama on the road. Baylor will get their attention this week.

Prediction: Texas 28, Baylor 13.

UCF at Kansas State

Tough first game as a member of the Big 12 for UCF. The Wildcats are ticked off after losing to Missouri and now return home to get back on track.

Prediction: Kansas State 35, UCF 21.
