WVU WR Devin Carter Undergoes Procedure Ahead of 2024 NFL Draft

There’s never a good time for an injury, but now is especially not a good time for former West Virginia wide receiver Devin Carter as he is just weeks away from the NFL Draft.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Carter underwent a core muscle procedure last week which will take between four to six weeks to recover from. He is, however, expected to be ready to participate in mini-camp.
Prior to transferring to West Virginia, Carter spent five years at North Carolina State where he recorded 118 receptions for 1,906 yards and 10 touchdowns. In his lone season as a Mountaineer, Carter led WVU in receiving with 501 yards on 27 receptions, two of which went for scores.
Most project Carter will be an undrafted free agent, but there is a small chance he could go in the final round.
