West Virginia has received a lot of production from its running back room this season with CJ Donaldson, Justin Johnson Jr., Jaylen Anderson, and Jahiem White all taking their turn of being the lead guy. Right now, it's becoming a dynamic one-two punch with Donaldson and White complementing one another with the balance of power and speed. Johnson will continue to be sprinkled in some, but Anderson has some work to do to climb his way back up the depth chart.

The one running back who hasn't seen much playing time is true freshman DJ Oliver. But his lack of action isn't because the staff feels uncomfortable throwing him out there. There's just too many mouths to feed right now.

Before this week's game at Oklahoma, WVU head coach Neal Brown has to decide whether to continue to play Oliver on special teams and get him involved on offense or shut him down for the season so that he can use this season as a redshirt year as he's already reached the four game mark.

"I've got to make a decision. He's played four games right now, so I'll meet with him later on today and we got to figure that out. But he's played and he started on three units and he's done that two weeks in a row. I like him. He's a really good football player. If he's going to play, we need to use him some too. I think that's only fair to him. But I don't have an answer for that yet."

Oliver has been playing well on special teams and absolutely crushed a kick returner in the win over BYU last week. Brown noted that it was "by far" the best special teams play they had all game. On the season, Oliver has 10 carries for 38 yards and a touchdown, all of which came in the blowout win over Duquesne.
