The West Virginia Mountaineers are set to play their first home game this Saturday in nearly a month when they welcome the Oklahoma State Cowboys to town.

Who are the key players to watch for on both sides of the ball for both teams?

WEST VIRGINIA OFFENSE - WR Devin Carter

Carter had his breakout game a week ago in the loss to Houston pulling in five receptions for 116 yards. Neal Brown mixed it up with Carter's alignment, putting him in different spots as opposed to one side of the field and it paid off. Now that there's some confidence in the passing game and increased trust/chemistry, this could be the start of Carter piecing together a solid senior campaign.

WEST VIRGINIA DEFENSE - S Aubrey Burks

The Mountaineers certainly missed Burks' presence in the back end in Houston. I'm not sure he would have solved all of West Virginia's problems last Thursday night but you'd like to think he would have made winning plays in key situations. Getting an all-conference safety back against a passing attack that has seemed to have found its rhythm is always good news.

OKLAHOMA STATE OFFENSE - RB Ollie Gordon

Last week against Kansas, Gordon became the first Oklahoma State player since Gerald Hudson in 1989 to go over the 100-yard mark in both rushing in receiving in the same game. He's a big physical back that is tough to bring down to the ground but has some wiggle to him which makes him a tough tackle in space.

OKLAHOMA STATE DEFENSE - LB Collin Oliver

When the Cowboys need a big play, they look to their junior linebacker to come through. Oliver does a little bit of everything. He's a good run-stopper, is adequate in pass coverage, and can get after the quarterback. On the season, Oliver has notched 35 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, five pass breakups, four sacks, and three forced fumbles.
