How the quarterbacks did

"Garrett [Greene] had three explosive runs. One probably 60+ yards. And then, threw the deep ball very well today. Made a couple mistakes on third down. We've got to have some situational awareness, gotta have some field awareness. He took a sack that he probably shouldn't have. But some explosive plays and scrambled around and did some nice things too. Nicco [Marchiol] had two nice drives. He converted multiple third downs. And we forget he's in his second spring. He's right in the middle of this thing but he's young. Today, I thought he just made simple decisions. He just did a nice job in showing some maturation which is good to see."

Wide Receivers

"Ja'Shaun Poke has had a nice week. He's been battling a leg injury but he was healthy this week. He's got an opportunity to be a factor in the return game and then get him the ball where he can make some explosive. Devin Carter, I haven't talked about him in a bit but he's been really consistent."

Tight Ends

Kole Taylor and Will Dixon both had some nice catches, especially down in the red zone which is something we need."

Running backs

"I thought all four of the running backs did some good stuff. CJ [Donaldson] was really good in our short yardage period. I thought Tony Mathis had his best day of the spring. And then Jaylen [Anderson] and Justin [Johnson] both had some nice runs."

Lee Kpogba's improvement

"Body control. He's controlling his body. Being comfortable in the scheme is so important too and he feels very confident. He has less wasted movement. He's a box linebacker and he's not running himself out of plays. He's reading his keys better. He's just more comfortable and he's playing with more confidence."

Cornerbacks

"Montre [Miller], he's had some ups and downs. He can run. The more comfortable he gets in the system, I think he's going to be a solid Big 12 player for us. Great guy. He works. He's hungry. [Andrew] Wilson-Lamp and [Jacolby] Spells are both growing. Those are the two guys that we really need to make a move. There's been some ups and downs in the spring but I think those guys are going to be some guys we can count on to play. Malachi Ruffin played good football for us at the end of the year. He's always going to be a steady guy there. We've added a player and we may even add another one. Maybe not a corner, but in the secondary."
