Below, you will find quotes related to WVU.
Start of Big 12 schedule/playing at WVU
"We're really excited to start Big 12 play. If we're not at home, it's great to be able to play in such a great environment. West Virginia, great stadium. Fans are incredible. If you've ever been up there, it's just a great environment for college football. Really excited for Coach [Neal] Brown. He's a friend of mine and that was such a huge win for him and his program. Really fired up for him. It's a good win for the Big 12 too."
First thoughts on West Virginia
"You could see from last year to this year the improvements on defense. They're playing really well on defense, the numbers show it. And then offensively, they have one of the best run games right now in the country. They got two really good running backs with 0 [Jaylen Anderson] and 4 [CJ Donaldson]. They're really physical. They really lean on their offensive line, it's a really experienced group. Really good tight end, so it's going to be a great game."
Prepping for Garrett Greene and Nicco Marchiol
"I think when you're talking about stature and mobility, very similar. Their starter can really run. I've seen him two years in a row where the run game becomes a factor, but it's not like if the backup plays he can't [run], he's not mobile. Whenever you have a starter, they usually have a command of the offense and there's a reason they won the job. It's going to be interesting. We've got to prepare for both guys. We're lucky that they're similar. [Nicco Marchiol], he did a really good job of coming in that Pitt game. That game, in that area, is as big a game as there is. You could tell he could handle the pressure."
