White Named Big 12 Conference Newcomer of the Week

Monday afternoon, West Virginia University freshman running back Jahiem White earned the Big 12 Conference Newcomer of the Week, marking the second Mountaineer (Beanie Bishop, Oct. 30) to take the honor this season.

White rushed for a career-high 204 yards and a touchdown and hauled in a 75-yard touchdown pass in the Mountaineers 42-21 thumping of the Cincinnati Bearcats on Saturday.

White has 659 rushing yards on the season with three touchdowns.

West Virginia will travel to Waco, Texas, in the season finale to take on the Baylor Bears Saturday night at 7:00 EST and the action will broadcast on FS1.
