Answering this week's questions from the fans.

From @JasonBr812:

Q: Why is NB still the head coach? Are we going to get a proven winner at this level moving forward?

A: I mean, he did just beat Pitt. The team is 2-1. He's not going anywhere anytime soon. I'd understand the question if they lost this weekend. I'm not saying he's entirely safe just yet, there's a lot of season left. That said, have to give him credit where it's due.

From @WVUExtremist:

Q: Justin Johnson update?

A: Nothing as of yet. We'll likely hear something today in regard to his status. There's a possibility he had a setback leading up to the Backyard Brawl. I will update this answer as soon as I get word.

From @wvufan2023:

Q: How do you feel about this team going forward after seeing them play like they did last night?

A: Hate to be brutal, but nothing really changed my opinion if I'm being honest. Pitt is going to have a down year and there are still a lot of things WVU is hindered by offensively, even if Greene is healthy. If they open up the passing game and have success with it, that will be what changes my mind on them. As of now, I still see a six-win football team.

From @mpscxh752g:

Q: What is Garrett Greene's situation?

A: He was in a boot on the sideline for the second half of the Brawl. I would be shocked if he played this Saturday and it's unlikely that he plays at TCU. It didn't look good. Neal will provide an update this afternoon with a possible timeline for a return. For now, it's Nicco's show.

From @ClaytonLouderm2:

Q: Two questions: Jacolby Spells? Is something going on with him or are they still just developing him? Has Neal said anything about Ben Cutter's development? (Only asking because I live 2 minutes from where he played high school ball).

A: He's a little behind still. The pick-six against Virginia Tech last year probably spiked the expectations from the fans. He's got a little ways to go before he can be counted on consistently. The talent is there, it's just about mastering the playbook and getting those in-game reps. As for Cutter, the staff likes the direction he's heading in. He'll be a factor on defense sooner than later.

From @wi_thompson:

Q: Game plan against TT. Do we open it up for Nicco with a full week of prep or keep it conservative so he won’t lose confidence? Hopefully, GG can return fully healthy against TCU.

A: They will open it up a little bit, but I'm not expecting him to drop back 20-25 times. I still see it being a run-heavy approach with many of the passes coming off of RPOs. Keep it simple and slow the game down for not only him but your defense as well. Texas Tech is going to want to play fast and run 90+ plays. The objective is to force them to play at your pace.
