Prized RB Recruit Bo Jackson Details Interest in West Virginia

Can West Virginia add more depth to an already loaded running back room?

Class of 2025 running back Bo Jackson (6’0”, 205 lbs) out of Villa Angela-St. Joseph in Cleveland, Ohio recently dropped his top twelve schools.

West Virginia made the cut for the consensus four-star prospect alongside Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Rutgers, and Tennessee.

“I’ve had a great relationship with Coach Scott and Coach Neal Brown for a couple years now,” Jackson told Mountaineers Now. “I love what they have going on there and I think they will compete for conference championships and playoffs over the next couple years. I visited three separate occasions and was more impressed every time. It’s a great offense for running back and there’s an opportunity to play early there. It’s a great school and everything football-wise is as good as any school I visited. They take excellent care of the players and I’m family friends with Jaylen Anderson and he loves it there.”

When you see a recruit have the list of schools that Jackson has, you tend to think West Virginia has no shot in the race. But the fact that he’s been on campus multiple times and has a strong relationship with not only the head coach, but running backs coach, gives the notion that WVU really is in the mix here.

Official visit dates are still being worked out at this point in time. If West Virginia can secure a weekend in June, it will go a long way in their chances of landing the prized recruit.
