If you pay attention to the National Football League, there is no question about it that you have heard of Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill. So far in 2023, Hill has an astounding 61 catches, 1014 yards, and eight touchdowns in just eight games. To put that into perspective, he is on pace to catch 130 passes for 2,155 yards and 17 touchdowns! Despite those insane stats, Hill, who is firmly in the NFL MVP race, recently said that a former Wisconsin Football player is more valuable to the Dolphins than he is.

Tyreek Hill Says Alec Ingold Is More Valuable Than He Is

During a recent interview, Hill was asked about being in the NFL MVP race, and he responded with a hilarious/sarcastic answer that absolutely NOBODY saw coming.

“No. We have a player on this team that’s better than me. And means more to this team than me. And his name… is (fullback) Alec Ingold.”

Who is Alec Ingold?

If you are a fan of the Wisconsin Badgers, you probably remember Alec Ingold, who played for the team from 2015-18. During his time with the Badgers, Ingold carried the ball 103 times for 343 yards and caught 14 passes for 185 yards in 36 career games.

In eight games with the Dolphins this season, Ingold has two carries for zero yards and four catches for 62 yards, which is a VERY FAR cry from the production Hill has put up so far this year. With that being said, according to Pro Football Focus, Ingold does have a 79.6 pass-blocking grade (3rd among fullbacks in the NFL) so far in 2023, so he is certainly doing his job in that regard.

Bottom Line: Hand the MVP To Alec Ingold!

In the quirky world of NFL humor, Tyreek Hill's declaration that former Wisconsin football player Alec Ingold is more valuable to the Miami Dolphins than he is adds a hilarious twist to an already exciting season. Who would've thought that a star receiver would hand over the MVP title to a fullback!?!? Football is full of surprises, and this one is a real touchdown for laughter and camaraderie!
