PASADENA, CALIF. -- The Wisconsin Badgers hope to bring in the new year on a winning note when they face the No. 6 Oregon Ducks in the 106th edition of the Rose Bowl Game.

Follow along with AllBadgers.com as we will provide updates each quarter or scoring drive. Also feel free to comment during the game as well below the article or in our community section.

Can Jonathan Taylor, Chris Orr and Zack Baun help lead the team to victory over the Ducks, or will Justin Herbert and Kayvon Thibodeux create havoc on both sides of the ball and tame the Badgers?

1st Quarter

Oregon's first scoring drive: Justin Herbert four-yard touchdown run

The Ducks drove down the field on the game's opening series, and the Badgers had no answer in a methodical 12-play, 75-yard drive that took 5:07 off the clock. The senior quarterback, who completed four of five passes for 49 yards on the drive, called his own number and scored touchdown from four yards out.

Wisconsin's first scoring play: Aron Cruickshank 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown

Well that did not take long to answer. On the ensuing kickoff after Oregon's touchdown drive, the sophomore wide receiver took the ball at the UW five-yard line and sprinted it to the house to tie the game.

Wisconsin's second scoring drive: Collin Larsh 44-yard field goal

A Herbert mistake proves costly, as Jack Sanborn came down with an interception on the first play of Oregon's drive. Though Wisconsin only gained one yard on its series, the redshirt sophomore placekicker connected from 44 yards out to give Wisconsin the advantage.

2nd Quarter

Oregon's second scoring drive: Justin Herbert five-yard touchdown run

Wisconsin coughed up the ball twice in the second quarter. The defense held its own on a fourth down stop after a Jonathan Taylor fumble. After Jack Coan's fifth interception of the season, however, Oregon finally took advantage of the short field.

The Ducks drove 33 yards in three plays. Herbert once again called his own number -- this time from five yards out -- to give the Pac-12 champs the lead.

Oregon 14, Wisconsin 10

Wisconsin third scoring drive: Quintez Cephus 11-yard touchdown catch

The Badgers answered once again after an Oregon scoring drive, and this time it was the offense that reclaimed the spark. An eight-play, 53-yard drive ended when Coan found the redshirt junior wide out for an 11-yard score.

Coan completed all five of his passing attempts for 30 yards -- including that touchdown pass -- on that last Badgers drive.

3rd Quarter

Oregon's third scoring play: Brady Breeze 31-yard fumble returned for a touchdown

Wisconsin started the second half with the ball but could not advance past its 41-yard line. Punter Anthony Lotti fumbled the snap from Adam Bay, and Ducks safety Brady Breeze returned it 31 yards for the score.

Oregon 21, Wisconsin 17

Wisconsin's fourth scoring drive: Mason Stokke one-yard touchdown run

For what it is worth when the team makes mistakes, it has responded. After the special teams gaff, the offense drove 65 yards in 11 plays and took 6:59 off the clock. The Badgers converted two key fourth down opportunities, including the fullback's eventual one-yard touchdown run to cap the series.

Wisconsin 24, Oregon 21

4th Quarter

Wisconsin's fifth scoring drive: Collin Larsh 27-yard field goal

The Badgers' defense forced a three-and-out, and the offense went back to work in an 11-play, 51-yard drive. Five minutes, 33 seconds went off the clock as the offense marched to the Oregon nine-yard-line but stalled from there.

Larsh drilled the chip shot field goal attempt to stretch the lead to six.

Wisconsin 27, Oregon 21

Oregon's fourth scoring play: Justin Herbert's 30-yard touchdown run

Another costly turnover for the Badgers inside its own territory leads to an Oregon score. After a Danny Davis fumble on a jet sweep, Herbert keeps the ball, eluded Sanborn on a would-be tackle and takes it to the end zone on the first play of the series.
