When Is the ALGS Championship 2023?

The ALGS Championship is taking place from September 6-10 in London, specifically Birmingham at the Resorts World Arena. The tournament is running at the same time as the Insomnia Gaming Festival.

ALGS Championship 2023 Format

The format for the Championship will be the same as last year. There will be a group stage with a double-elimination bracket, split into four groups of 10. The groups will be decided by Playoff Points earned throughout the season. Each team will compete in 18 total matches.

The group stage will give way to the bracket stage. The top 20 teams from the group stage will compete in the winner’s bracket while the bottom 20 will head to the loser’s. The top 10 teams from the winner’s bracket series will advance to the finals. Ten teams from the loser’s bracket will join them along with 10 from the second series.

This means there will be 30 teams in the finals. The teams will compete in a match point format and once a team reaches 50 points, they become eligible to win the tournament. There is no limit to the amount of teams that can qualify.
