Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has been out for over two weeks and we are yet to see a tournament that follows the Call of Duty League rules. However, with the release of them yesterday, ZooMaa and The Flank are hosting a $75,000 invitational tournament featuring only COD League professional players.

Format

The Flank Invitational will see teams play Hardpoint, Search and Destroy and Control using the Call of Duty League rules, mimicking a real series in the league. However, the teams have been mixed up, with AR and SMG duos from every CDL roster separated, and pulled together in a random draw. This is set to be one of the most exciting tournaments so far, especially with the teams now playing respawn modes too, something we are yet to see in big money tournaments in MW3.

  • Simp, aBeZy, Ghosty, Cammy
  • CleanX, Envoy, Accuracy, Owakening
  • Hydra, Kismet, Scrappy, Insight

Teams to Watch

Some of these teams are incredible, and it’s tough to look past two main rosters to take this tournament. Hydra, Kismet, Scrappy and Insight is an incredible team that takes players from the CDL Championship Grand Final last season. Hydra and Kismet were without a doubt the best SMG duo in the Call of Duty League in 2023, so we expect to see more of that tonight.

However, another incredible team is Skyz, Sib, Pred and Shotzzy. Yet again taking some of the best players from the 2023 season and putting them onto the same roster for tonight's tournament.

Regardless of who wins tonight's The Flank Invitational, this tournament will give us a great look at some of the players as we get ready for the 2024 Call of Duty League season to start. While they may be paired up with a different duo, we’ll be able to see these players compete in Hardpoint, Search and Destroy and Control in a full series for the first time this year.

Schedule & How to Watch

The $75,000 The Flank Invitational kicks off at 12pm PST and will be streamed on ZooMaa’s Twitch Channel. However, all competitors will be streaming their own POV on their channel. This is a must watch tournament as we head towards the 2024 Call of Duty League starting on December 8th.
