Modern Warfare 3 PC System Requirements — Storage, Competitive, More

Activision has confirmed what you’ll need in order to comfortably play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on your PC.

Modern Warfare 3 is currently available for pre-order. The new Call of Duty game is coming out on November 10, 2023. If you are preparing to play this new FPS game, you’ll need to ensure your PC can handle it.

Modern Warfare 3 Storage Requirements

Right away, the requirements for MW3 are pretty nuts. According to a recent Activision post, Modern Warfare 3 will require an SSD that has 149GB of space or more — and that’s the initial download. If you also want CoD HQ and Warzone, it will be even more.

No matter which system requirement guidelines you choose, you will need a broadband internet connection, a DirectX compatible sound card, and drivers for Nvidia (537.58) / AMD (23.10.2).

Can You Pre-Load MW3 on PC?

Yes, if you have pre-ordered Modern Warfare 3 and your PC meets the above requirements, you can pre-load the game on your PC. This allows you to play the game right when it becomes available.

Pre-loading is available for campaign early access, which begins November 1 at 9 AM PST on PC. Early access is going live on November 2 at 10 AM PST. Pre-loading for the game’s official launch begins on November 8 at 9 AM PSt. The full game goes live on November 10 at 9 AM PST.
