It was yet another failed heist for 100 Thieves and another royal performance from FlyQuest botlaner Prince as the star player collected 14 kills in

who recently lost their sixth game of the LCS 2023 Spring Split and fifth in a row after their game against FlyQuest today.

Just two weeks ago, both FlyQuest and 100 Thieves appeared destined to meet each other in the LCS 2023 Spring Split Finals. Now, today’s series between 100 Thieves and FlyQuest was a story centered around starting from scratch for both teams. FlyQuest’s step backward did not affect their overall standings in the LCS 2023 Spring Split. Instead, their step backward was found in the form of finally having intended LCS support Bill “Eyla” Nguyen in the lineup. While it is a move that brought FlyQuest back to its full five-man lineup, the team would need to rebuild its entire structure around its returning support.

Meanwhile, 100 Thieves has made zero roster changes heading into week five. Instead, they quite literally took steps backward in play. Since their 4-1 start to the LCS 2023 Spring Split, 100 Thieves have continued to trend downward and stood at a 4-5 record before today's series to open week five.

Instead, it was more of the same for 100 Thieves once again as FlyQuest's Prince took over once again. That being said, this was a really close game and one that showed signs of improvement for 100 Thieves, despite the loss. 100 Thieves kept the gold lead even throughout the entire game while they themselves held a solid kill lead over FlyQuest. Unfortunately, their strong mechanical talents were not enough to break into Prince's Zeri due to a FlyQuest composition built to protect the carry.

With this loss, 100 Thieves has dropped down to 4-6 in the LCS 2023 Spring Split, something that LCS viewers never envisioned when this superteam was built as they drop to seventh place in the standings. They will have an opportunity to stop their losing streak tomorrow as they take on Team Liquid at 7pm EST.

As for FlyQuest, they now stand at 9-1 in the LCS 2023 Spring Split as this win pushes them closer to locking a spot in the LCS 2023 Spring Split playoffs. They look poised to win their 10th game of the LCS 2023 Spring Split as they take on the winless Dignitas to close out week five.
