Mortal Kombat 1 is coming soon but it may not be soon enough for fans of the carnage that’s in store. If you are hoping to get your hands on Mortal Kombat 1 early, you’re in luck — a beta is on its way.

The developers behind Mortal Kombat 1 have just announced the dates for the beta. You will be able to play the Mortal Kombat 1 beta from August 18 to 21. Here’s how.

How to Get Beta Access

To get access to the Mortal Kombat 1 beta, all you need to do is pre-order the Mortal Kombat 1 Premium Edition. It’s available for pre-order right now.

The Premium Edition is $109.99. It comes with:

  • Kombat Pack
  • Early access to Mortal Kombat 1
  • Jean-Claude Van Damme skin for Johnny Cage
  • 5 new Kameo characters
  • 1 week early access to DLC characters: Omni-Man, Quan Chi, Peacemaker, Ermac, Homelander, Takeda
  • Shang Tsung
  • Access to the closed beta

The Kombat Pack is the first group of DLC fighters. This includes Omni-Man, Quan Chi, Peacemaker, Ermac, Homelander, and Takeda. People are especially pumped to see how violent Peacemaker will be in Mortal Kombat since he’s already tearing people apart in the show and burning them with laser vision. You’ll also be able to play with these characters a week before everyone else.

Early access to Mortal Kombat 1 is another awesome perk. You’ll be able to play the game before everyone else, starting September 14. Mortal Kombat comes out September 19, giving you a few extra days to practice and get ahead of friends.

Where Can You Play the Closed Beta

The beta is only available for the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X | S.
