The Champions Chess Tour has finally culminated in the Finals, with the best of the best chess masters coming together to prove themselves in the biggest competitive chess tournament of the year.

The CCT Finals will have the top eight Grandmasters competing together after qualifying through the Champions Chess Tour circuit or making it to the top of the leaderboard. Here are the finalists:

Prize Money

The Finals has a $500,000 prize pool. This is actually part of the $2 million prize pool from the Champions Chess Tour circuit. Here is the prize pool breakdown:

  • 1st Place - $200K
  • 2nd Place - $100K
  • 3rd Place - $50K (x2)
  • 5th Place - $25K
  • 6th Place - $20K
  • 7th Place - $15K
  • 8th Place - $12K
  • Per Playoff Match Win - $1K
