New Transmog Options Uncovered in PTR and Datamine for Sylvanas’ Dark Ranger Set and Lo’Gosh Weapons for Trading Post

  • Sylvanas’s iconic Dark Ranger General Gear will soon be added to the game as a Transmog set.
  • Varian Wrynn’s equipment and weapons as Lo’Gosh are coming to the Trading Post soon.
  • The Trading Post in World of Warcraft will soon feature Spring-themed weapons and transmog sets.

New Transmog Items and Sets are coming to the Trading Post in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight thanks to reveals from the PTR and some Datamined information from Wowhead. One of these Transmog Sets features an iconic look from World of Warcraft and is coming in Patch 10.2.5, while the others were datamined and are coming sometime next year.

Dark Ranger Sylvanas’ Transmog Set

Found on the PTR for the next patch, 10.2.5, players will be able to replicate the iconic look Sylvanas has worn for years in World of Warcraft. The Dark Ranger set can be equipped by any player. It features 11 different pieces including the Dark General’s Quiver.

It has yet to be confirmed exactly how this transmog set can be obtained, but the likely answer is the Trading Post reward shop added in Dragonflight.

Lo’Gosh Weapons and Spring Transmog Set

In addition to the Dark Ranger General Transmog Set, several Spring related pieces of Transmog gear have been found associated with the Trading Post, including Lo’Gosh weapons and armor.

For those unaware of who Lo’Gosh is, he is sometimes also called Goldrinn, which means Ghost Wolf in the tongue of the Taurens. He’s a Wild God who sometimes takes the form of a powerful wolf. His spirit favors and possesses King Varian Wrynn in the novel Wolfheart.

Similar to the Dark General Transmog Set, the Lo’Gosh Armor and Weapons will be available in the Trading Post.

There is also a whole slew of new items with a Spring Theme including weapons, clothes, weapon recolors and simple weapons and armor. The new weapons include a one handed axe and dagger, a bow and a staff.

New Clothes have the Spring Reveler’s Lavender Apparel (dress) and Collection (trousers). The weapon recolors feature a one-handed axe, a two-handed hammer, a fist weapon, two-handed sword, one-handed mace and a longbow.

Lastly, there are several simple weapons, clothes and cloaks as well including an Assassin’s bandolier to replace those who hate cloaks, but still want something on their character's back.

What is the Trading Post?

Introduced in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, the Trading Post is just an in-game cosmetic store. Players can earn a special credit just by logging into the game and completing certain tasks. With this currency, players can buy all sorts of special cosmetics such as transmog items and sets, pets and mounts.

Trading Posts are located in the main cities for both factions; Stormwind for the Alliance and Orgrimmar for the Horde. The items available in the Trading Post rotate and change every month, so be sure to check early for what you might want and save up before it’s gone.
