The New York Knicks are moving their D-League team, the Erie Bayhawks, to Westchester, and decided to take fan suggestions to come up with the new team name. What wacky moniker did they decide on? The Westchester Knicks!

When you're naming a sports team, you essentially have the entire dictionary at your disposal, but New York decided not to look any further than the team's letterhead for inspiration. Wrapping it all up in the ruse of a fan contest is just adding insult to injury, as no one outside of the team's front office could possibly have thought 'Knicks' was the best possible option for the team.

At least they didn't name the team the Redskins, I guess.
