Because Cano, now with the Mariners, gave Bowa, the Phillies' bench coach, a Rolex watch when Seattle visited Philadelphia on Monday night.

"Forty-five years in baseball, no one's ever done anything like that for me," said Bowa, who found the watch in his locker at Citizens Bank Park with a note attached. "I'm really touched."

Cano, who signed a 10-year, $240 million deal before the season, took instruction from Bowa on his fielding as a young player, and he eventually won the American League Gold Glove at second base in 2010 and 2012.

Bowa won the NL Gold Glove at shortstop in 1972 and 1978.

Apparently Gold Gloves go well with gold watches.
