Andy Richter's Mike Ditka story involves a burning Lincoln Continental

Conan announcer and sidekick Andy Richter was on Twitter talking about his favorite picture of Super Bowl winning Bears coach Mike Ditka on Wednesday, which then prompted him to share an amazing tale of the coach's love for cigars and general disregard for leather upholstery.

While Ditka is legendarily short on patience with his fellow humans, this story strays away from rudeness and more towards insanity.
What did Ditka think would happen by putting a lit cigar down on a car seat? Could he really not have cared is he burned a brand new car to the ground?
We can only hope the coach will be stopping by the Conan show soon so Richter can get some answers. Just make sure there's a fire extinguisher handy.
