Unmasking the Truth: Urban Meyer on Michigan's Sign Stealing

Urban Meyer shares his thoughts on all things college football on the Bleav in Buckeye Football podcast this week.

In a recent episode of the Bleav In Buckeye Football podcast, co-hosts Bryant Browning and Chimdi Chekwa were joined by former Ohio State and Florida head coach, Urban Meyer. The discussion revolved around the controversy surrounding Michigan's alleged sign-stealing tactics and Meyer's perspective on the matter. Meyer didn't mince words, expressing his strong stance against such practices.

The topic of conversation revolved around the recent allegations of sign stealing by the Michigan Wolverines, a scandal that has sent shockwaves through the college football world. Meyer offered a candid take on the issue, stating, "If you're saying everybody does that, you have no idea what you're talking about." He emphasized the severity of the accusations and the impact they could have on the sport.

Meyer made a clear distinction between in-game sign stealing, which he considered part of the gamesmanship, and the alleged practice of sending individuals on the road to scout and steal signs. He pointed out, "To send people out on the road scouting, I have never heard of that. The answer is yes, that's cheating when you see the videos like everyone has seen."

When asked about the potential involvement of Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh or his knowledge of the alleged sign-stealing operation, Meyer didn't hold back. "The question is if Jim Harbaugh is behind it or knew about it, if that is the case that is a hard one to recover from," Meyer asserted. He expressed skepticism that such actions could be attributed to a single rogue individual within the coaching staff.

Urban Meyer's appearance on the Bleav In Buckeye Football podcast shed light on the hot topics in college football.
