Amari Cooper Breaks Eric Metcalf's Receiving Record

Amari Cooper's historic moment in the NFL as he surpasses Eric Metcalf's receiving record, rewriting the record books

Eric Metcalf talked about Amari Cooper's special day against the Texans on a recent episode of The Dawg Check. Eric Metcalf held the record for most receiving yards on the road in Brown's franchise history before Sunday. Cooper had 265 receiving yards in Houston on Christmas Eve, shattering Metcalf's record on his way to also breaking Josh Gordon's all-time record.

"He broke my record of 177 receiving yards on the road; Josh Gordon had the record all-time at 261, which he also broke. Hats off to Amari; He was out there making grabs and plays, but at the same time, Joe Flacco was putting the ball in places where either he got it or nobody got it. They have a connection that is working and something like you have never seen in such a short period of time."

Joe Flacco has saved the Browns season after Deshaun Watson went down with an injury. They struggled to find a serviceable starter at first but have now won three games in a row with Flacco.
